5.2.16-morning to evening
1.29.16 courtney's house (featuring my lovely friends courtney keogh, derek day, & paige wyrick)
11.26 neskowin beach
8.16 chalk mural
When I brought my camera to the chalk mural, my intent was to capture the raw beauty of little things, those moments when we really stop and take everything in. To me, this album sounds like "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes, and it showcases the imperfections of being a teenager. I took pictures of chalk stains on people's skin, and little snippets of all the different relationships among us. People hugging, people sitting alone on a patchwork quilt, three kids fighting over a baseball bat while laughing. It also turned into kind of a people study, which I did not intend on ahead of time.
7.11.15 camp-in (with Ruby Hunter)
This album is about two best friends and a night of spontaneity and adventure. It reminds me of lazy, unforgettable summer nights, when the sun lingers in the sky for hours. It reminds me of dead grass, playing guitar in the park, otter pops that have turned to colorful tubes of sugary liquid, creating your own fun, trying to tape up a leaky hole in the air mattress, watching outdoor movies on a sheet, waking up with a montage of bug bites, making mistakes and memories, 1am bonfires, the ugliness of everyday life despite our aesthetic photos, freedom, friendship, and laughing so hard your cheeks ache.
Juno Soundtrack!
Juno is one of my favorite movies and the soundtrack is so amazing!! It is a compilation of cute acoustic indie songs over a span of several decades. Credit to the YouTube user "sofi flores" for creating this video.
At the Bottom of Everything by Bright Eyes
This song and video makes me feel really happy and free, but also nostalgic and sad. I can't really explain how or why I feel this way, but I'll let you watch it for yourself.
